This wine epitomizes the Chambolle-Musigny style, boasting abundant finesse and silkiness from the outset. It consistently presents a touch more structure and tannins, attributed to the deep soils it originates from.
Press Reviews
The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Villages comes from nine parcels spread over six lieux-dits and includes 30% whole cluster with a long cuvaison and four pigeages. It has a clean, pure, charming bouquet with small red cherries, rose petals and just a hint of truffle—the whole bunch here deftly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe red and black fruit infused with oyster shell, focused and taut with just a touch of spice toward the finish. This is a well-crafted village cru, especially considering the extent of frost damage in the appellation. Barrel Sample: 89-91
