Product Details

Bodegas Atamisque, located in San José, Tupungato, Uco Valley, crafts an elegant and fruit-forward Pinot Noir that embodies the essence of its high-altitude vineyards. Pale and clear red in the glass, it bursts with fresh aromas of cherries and strawberries, leading to a soft, velvety palate with a vibrant fruity finish. Fermented in stainless steel at 25°C and aged for three months in bottle before release, this wine stays true to the Serbal philosophy—preserving pure varietal character without the influence of oak.

While Argentine Pinot Noir is still gaining recognition beyond Patagonia, this offering from Atamisque proves that the Uco Valley can produce outstanding expressions of the grape. With a plump mid-palate and impressive texture rarely found at this price point, it easily stands its ground against lower-end Burgundy. Atamisque, the first winery along Mendoza’s renowned 'Ruta del Vino,' is home to a modern winemaking facility where winemaker Philippe Caraguel applies a French touch to the estate's vineyards, some of which include exceptionally old vines. While the winery is known for its Malbec, it also excels with other varietals, particularly its Serbal Cabernet Franc—one of the most exciting and best-value examples of the grape. The winery’s portfolio is structured into three tiers—Serbal, Catalpa, and Atamisque—each named after indigenous trees and shrubs that grow among the vines, reflecting the estate’s deep connection to its natural surroundings.
